What's up everybody, and welcome to Sportified. This is an introduction episode, which I thought was important for us to do before we started putting our content out, because this is just not your regular run of the mill podcast, we try to do something different here. And when I say we, I have someone with me on board, who I will introduce very shortly why we are doing this? I've always been passionate about sport, and have been playing sport from a very young age. And I think like this question has crossed, every one of us at some point in time, is that why does, why do we rather hold back as a nation when it comes to competing at a global stage? We're great with some sports we do fantastically well. But some sports are just oblivious to most of us, myself included. And that's something that needs to change with you, me and every one of us. And like I said, when I said we here at Spotify, I couldn't possibly do this alone. And I sat one day thinking to myself, think, think Siddharth think and in that moment I found my answer. A friend. And now my co host, my buddy, someone who's going to ride this wave and this journey with me. Someone who's been associated with the Khelo India games. He comes from a sporting lineage. And he's the brain behind Spotify. Without further ado, heres, Siddharth Pandey

Hello, everyone. Hello Sid, I am Siddharth Pandey. It's a pleasure to be here. Before I get to what Spotify means to me,I'll just rewind a little bit and tell everyone who's listening to this a little bit about the journey of Spotify. So last year during the lockdown, I got a call from Sid Kher. And he said, Siddharth, do you have some time? I would just like to speak to you about something. So I said sure. What's up, bro? And he said, let's talk about sport. So I said, Sure. Let's talk about sport. And he said, No, that's not what I mean. Why don't we meet and have a chat about this. So we met and we discussed things we spoke about things we brainstormed for months. And after that we have come to a conclusion and the conclusion is this platform that we've both decided to call Sportified. Again, I would like to tell you what Sportified is not. Sportified is not a news portal. Spotified is not a website that gives out random facts and figures from the world of sport. Sportified is not cricket plus. So what is Spotified? Sportified for me is a conversation on the contemporary and relevant subjects, topics, trends and themes in Indian sport and about Indian athletes. Our priority is Indian sport and Indian athletes. Does that mean we will never get you anything regarding the latest in cricket? Absolutely not. Does that mean that we will not talk to you about global sports and what's happening outside of India? No, absolutely not. We are just levelling the playing field. Because we think that Indian sport and Indian athletes for a very long time have got a raw deal. And we want to correct that. You're either part of the problem or you're part of the solution.
